Here's another:

Sorta...not exactly...i forget kinda...you know, you do a bunch a work and weeks, months, and years  roll by...you don't even look the same no more, and even stranger, you don't even think the same

Let's assume it is Monday morning, surely the most morningish morning of the week, when the scent of Monday mornings is excellently disseminated in the in the bookkeeping departments of large banks.

In such a hall there are, down aisles, about ten to fifteen rows of desks to pass in review; at each twin desk works a pair of people.  One is accustomed to speak  of a pair of shoes, so why not now and then speak of a pair of people?  -Robert Walser

Now of course things have changed I think, haven't they? Why we don't think of humans that way any more, right?  We sure don't think of Robert Walser anymore.

We now insist on corporate teams of smart studious engineers:  In the great modern tome of literature "Modern Plastics Encyclopedia"  from 1946 is a great discussion of Furan Resins of course produced by the Furetone Plastics and Chemicals Company with insightful and dynamic contributions by the chemicals department of Quaker Oats:  They say that "articles molded of Furtone are easily released from molds, have good physical and electrical properties plus excellent surface finishes.

This inly one sentence from a 1673 page book which weighs 55. I 345 lbs.  Take that Mr Walser, you uneducated German dropout...!

Well I'm thinking of selling some of my  paintings though I haven't yet figured out how much to sell them for nor which size I wish to sell...it seems to boring to figure out I guess...

Unfortunately, most of you have already driven four or five hours to get here and then spent the entire time here taking photographs...and of course you already have paintings already...!

This is one of the paintings from 2007 --a ways a go I suppose...but I like this one and in fact didn't give a thought about when it was painted, wow! fourteen years ago!  ...

Stone Hinge

The moon is up, and yet it is not night,
The sun as yet disputes the day with her.
  --Lord Byron

This came out of the vault.  There are thousands, I guess, of paintings in the vault.  I don't know what decade let alone what year it's from.

Avoidmentee

Well here I am again...Ive been working on things as usual, pretty much every workday, and I'd like to add a bit of explanation, I mean what happened? well, I became a sort of Accidental Avoidmentee, it just seemed like I couldn’t figure out how to work things, and then my youngest has been using it for recording music, thank god, and now be the first time Ive tried doin anything, like producing a thing ...and well here be it.

Spelling

well I have always been dedicated to the accidental, the happenstance, the least egregious way to make the work, and I am usually rewarded when I look at them when I wake in the morning or the afternoon when I get up.  Now when I write about them, I often get mixed up in spelling things, I don't know why or how but the words all turn into some complex chalkboard, with strange equations done in hieroglyphs

Now I can often look things up on the computer and fix the spelling yet I often don't wanna do that.  I want the painting to all be soaked in accident and the most amature of tools and so I don't wanna correct spelling and change the words I use. I don't want to order them, to present  a shiny thing  of gallery standing.  At least that is how I feel a bunch of the time.

I'm Back!

So where have I been?  Well, about three years ago my laptop crashed and I couldn't process any photos of my paintings.  I got sick of trying to figure out my laptop so I went back to just painting.  Which was actually kind of heaven.  There was an ancient Chinese scholar who said the struggle between for and against is the mind's worst disease.

Finally I got a new computer which has taken me almost a year to figure out.  But I really missed all of you.  I loved the comments that you left and the discussions that would happen.  That all made me really happy.  So here are a couple new watercolors that I hope you'll enjoy.

Even if you don't enjoy them, I'd still love to hear from you.

gertrude stein

I love reading Mohammed Mrabet, Henry Miller, Gertrude Stein, and Blaise Cendrars...I simply do not think I've ever come across such brilliant writers again, writers blessed with such honesty, such self-revelations, such interesting mind-meanderings, such an abundance of love, with an understanding of art and its place in the world -a world filled with magical words, fantastic words, words dropped in the most unusual places, and conveying such a sense of wonderment...

I posed for him all winter, eighty times and in the end he painted out the head, he told me he could not look at me anymore and then he left once more for Spain.  It was the first time since the blue period and immediately upon returning he painted the head without having seen me again, and he gave me the picture and I was and still am satisfied with my portrait, for me, it is I and it is the only reproduction of me which is always I, for me.  -G Stein

ad infinatum

it just goes on and on. ad infinitum.
there is a bunch of writing too.
too boring to photograph.

I'll try to try to take selected pictures tomorrow
just to provide a better sense of the thing.

inside and outside

these are a few pictures of the book Guthrie made and I filled.

this next one is some page in the book

and just another page at the beginning...

and this is the cover that guthrie put on it

and here she comes...it is now one massive book

and this is the back of it

the title page...

hey I'll put up some more pages next time...I can see it is hopeless.
I'm just trying to give you a sense of it.
